Mysuru: A 22-year-old youth was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a Maruti Omni near Meghalapura petrol bunk on Mysuru-T. Narasipur Road yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Siddappa (22), son of late Mahadevashetty of Karotti village in T. Narasipur. Siddappa, a painter by profession, was returning to his village from Mysuru, when an oncoming Omni Van (KA-53 9847) knocked down his Motorcycle (KA-55 X-8284) at about 3.45 pm. Siddappa, who sustained serious injuries in the mishap, was rushed to K.R. Hospital, where he breathed his last sometime later. Varuna Police have registered a case.
