Mysuru: “The present day youths are going behind religion and not work which should be changed,” opined Sri Nijagunaprabhu Thontadarya Swamiji.
He was speaking after releasing the New Year calendar and diary brought out by ‘Law Guide’ Kannada legal monthly magazine at the function organised on Monday at Mysore District Journalists Association (MDJA) here.
The Swamiji contended that Law and Constitution would have a real value if people behave true to their conscience. A confrontation is on regarding what is important for the nation. Law is not just confined to a court but present at home, bus stand and in business. The imbalance in society should be removed upholding the Constitution. The country should see an end to defection politics. Any Government should carry on for five years without allowing tax-payers’ money to be wasted by holding elections unnecessarily, opined the Swamiji.
Former Minister A. Manju said that he too comes from a legal fraternity and pointed out that legal profession should provide justice for the common people. He suggested lawyers to win the confidence of the clients.
Achievers Sunitha, S. Anand Kumar, Chandramouli, Vishal Raghu and Amshi Prasanna Kumar were felicitated.
Retired Judge C.G. Hunagund Law Guide Editor H.N. Venkatesh and others were present.
