Mysore/Mysuru: An 18-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed to death by his friends over petty issue at Shanthinagar in city last night.

The deceased is Arbaz Khan, son of Javeed Khan of Shanthinagar. It is learnt that at about 9 pm yesterday, wordy duel ensued between Arbaz and his friends over petty issue following which Arbaz’s friends left the spot only to return later with a knife. They  allegedly stabbed Arbaz to death and fled from the spot.

Udayagiri Inspector Sudhakar and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem, which was conducted this morning and the body was handed over to the family members.

Udayagiri Police, who have registered a case, have launched a hunt to nab the accused.
