Mysore/Mysuru: Kuvempunagar Police have arrested all the four absconding accused involved in the alleged murder of Abhishek of Koorgalli at Ramakrishnanagar ‘I’ Block on Saturday. All the four were arrested in Bengaluru on Monday morning.

The four accused, who had gone absconding and arrested are Kumar, Sharada, Padma and Karthik. They were produced before a city Court which remanded them to judicial custody.

Kuvempunagar Inspector Yogeesh said that prime accused Ravichandra, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in city will be discharged today and will be produced before a Court.

Ravichandra, the prime accused, an employee of the Horticulture Department, was allegedly harassing his wife Vidya to get a house and a site from her father which used to lead to frequent quarrels. Though the Police had advised Ravichandra not to indulge in domestic violence, he (Ravichandra) continued to harass Vidya.

On Saturday, Vidya’s mother and brother Abhishek had gone to the house of Ravichandra only to be assaulted by Ravichandra and his family members following which they returned to their house in Koorgalli on the outskirts of city.

When Abhishek received information that his sister Vidya was being tortured again, Abhishek, along with his friends came to Ravichandra’s house, during which Ravichandra allegedly stabbed Abhishek with a knife following which Ravichandra’s brother Kumar, mother Sharada, relative Padma and her son Karthik assaulted the severely injured Abhishek with lethal weapons leading to his death. Abhishek’s friend Gautham was also brutally assaulted.

Later, Ravichandra, claiming that he has been injured in the incident, got himself admitted to a private hospital in city and the remaining four accused, on learning that Abhishek had died, fled from the spot.
