Mysur: Jayapura Police have arrested a youth along with his three friends for murdering a man, who had reportedly made lewd comments on the mother of the youth.

The accused youth is identified as 24-year-old Adarsh, a resident of Dattagalli in city, while his friends are Mahadev, Theju and Puttaraju, all 24 years old. The deceased is Kantharaju (45), a resident of Ballahalli. His semi-decomposed body was found near Bettadabeedu in the taluk on Feb.26. According to the Police, Kantharaju had issued lewd statements against Adarsh’s mother by saying that he had an extra-marital affair with her.

Angered over the statement made by Kantharaju, Adarsh plotted to eliminate Kantharaju. The accused along with his friends took him in a car and beat him up to the death and later dumped the body near Bettadabeedu, the Police added.

Jayapura Police have arrested all the accused.
