Youths aged above 17 years can apply for Voter ID card

In yet another initiative for the benefit of voters, the Election Commission has allowed 17 year olds to seek Voter ID card. But they will be enrolled in the voters’ list only after completing 18 years of age, according to Additional DC Dr. B.S. Manjunathaswamy, who presided over a meeting at the DC office here recently.

Stressing on the need for all voters to link their Voter ID card with Aadhaar card, Manjunathaswamy said that the voters can enroll till Mar. 31, 2023. The voters can link their voter ID  online or offline, he said adding that voters can use the NVSP and VHA app for online linking. Leaders from all the political parties attended the meeting.
