Mysuru: The Mysuru chapter of Yuva Brigade yesterday organised a cleanliness drive at the Kalyani (sacred pond) located at the foot of Chamundi Hill, with the aim of restoring its cleanliness and accessibility.
The effort focused on clearing overgrown vegetation around the steps leading to the pond, making the area more welcoming for visitors and devotees.
The drive began at 6.30 am and continued till 10 am, with over 50 volunteers working tirelessly. Students from The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, actively joined the initiative, lending their time and energy to the cause.

Key participants included Yuva Brigade State Coordinator Chandrashekar, Mysuru City Coordinator Sagar, along with Mahendra, Narayan, Kishore, Charan, Shivu, Dhanush, Gowtham, Ramesh and others.
From NIE College, Student Welfare Officer Dr. Sharath Chandra took part alongside student leaders Sanjan, Ramith, Yana Seethamma, Shivaraj Maradu, Pramukh, Prastuti and several others.
