Mysuru: Day-4 of the ongoing Yuva Sambhrama at Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri witnessed various colleges creating awareness on the importance of oxygen, scarcity of water, ill-effects of deforestation, ban on plastic and other issues through dance performances, yesterday.
B.Ed students of K.M. Doddi Bharathi College performed a ballet to create awareness on environmental conservation. They also showed how trees are important for survival of human beings and most importantly their necessity for livestock.
Save Kodagu
With heavy downpour lashing Kodagu district recently and causing damage to life and properties, students of Sri Adichunchanagiri Education Trust of Virajpet showcased the damage caused by heavy rain and how volunteers of various organisations including Army personnel participated in rescue operations and saved lives of many people and livestock.
Students of Shanthi Arts, Commerce and Science College, Mandya through their performance, showed how a debt-ridden farmer was forced to commit suicide.
This was followed by students of Government Home Science College, Holenarasipura performing Kannada and Culture. Later, students of Government First Grade College, Kushalnagar, Government First Grade College, Holenarasipura and Government Pre-University College, Talakad performed on various topics such as harassment of women and their empowerment.
