Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru, will be premiering the next online concert, a vocal presentation by Vidu. G.R. Ananya, under the series, “Yuva Sangeetha Sambhrama – 2020” on its YouTube channel at 5 pm on Saturday (Nov. 28).
Ananya is from a family of well-known musicians. Ananya was under the tutelage from an early age under her paternal aunts, Vid. G.S. Kamala and Vidu. G.S. Rajalakshmi, popular vocalists and fondly known as Mysuru sisters.
Her father, Vid. G.S. Ramanujan is a much sought after eminent mridanga and ghata artiste. Besides, she also learnt violin from Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy and Bharatanatyam from Vidu. Vasundhara Doreswamy. She has performed in some of the prestigious sabhas in Mysuru and Bengaluru.
Young and talented artistes, Vidu. C.V. Shruthi, Vid. Raghunandan R. Bhargava and Vid. T.N. Ajay will be accompanying Ananya on violin, mridanga and ghata, respectively.
