October 15, 2024

Mysuru: Alleging that the college campus was lacking in  basic amenities, hundreds of students of Yuvaraja’s College on JLB road here, staged a massive demonstration in the college campus here this morning, demanding the intervention of higher authorities of the University of Mysore.

Maintaining that the college toilets were stinking with no regular cleaning, the students said garbage can be seen littered all around the college in the absence of dust bins. They demanded a regular mechanism for cleaning of toilets and installation of appropriate number of dust bins covering the entire campus.

They also sought fulfilment of their demands, which mainly included release of financial grant  for the college and access to the Library at the campus other than the College working hours, among others.
