Mysuru: Yuvaraja’s College will be holding its sixth Graduation Day on Apr.25 at the Platinum Jubilee Auditorium in the College premises at 11 am. On the occasion, gold medals in 12 disciplines, 50 endowment awards and certificates will be given, said Principal Dr. M. Rudraiah at a press meet.
Prof. K. J. Rao, Emeritus Professor, Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, will deliver the Graduation Day Address. Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, will confer the degrees on graduates.
In all, 706 students will be conferred degrees out of which 415 are in B.Sc. (two gold medals), BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) – 4 medals, BCA (Bachelor in Computer Application) – 46, M.Sc. Botany – 27, M.Sc Chemistry – 36, M.Sc. Physics – 30, M.Sc. Mathematics – 55, M.Sc. Micro-Biology – 17, M.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition – 24, MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) – 39 and MA English -13. The graduates must compulsorily come in white dress, he added.
Administrative Officer Dr. H.C. Devarajegowda, Controller of Examinations Dr. H.B. Mahesha and Kannada Professor Dr. G. Srinivas were present at the meet.
