Zebra Prachi gives birth to female foal at Mysuru Zoo

Mysore/Mysuru: Prachi, the female Zebra at Mysuru Zoo, has given birth to a female foal on Oct. 16 in the Zoo.

Male Zebra named Rishi has fathered the foal and this is the third birth of a Zebra in the history of Mysuru Zoo. 

Zoo Executive Director Ajit M. Kulakarni said that the mother and the baby were healthy and are kept under observation. At present, Mysuru Zoo houses three male and four female Zebras.
