Zoo Educators Selection and Training programme

Mysuru: Here is an opportunity for animal-lovers to serve as volunteers in Zoo. Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysuru Zoo) has invited applications to select  “Volunteer Zoo Educators.” 

Zoo Educators are volunteers who will help the zoo in educating  about the zoo and wildlife conservation. The selected 50 candidates will be given four days training and out of this, 25 candidates will be selected based on written test. 

Students studying in 11th standard to final year master’s degree and government employees who are below 50 years of age can apply. Participants will be screened based on their score of 10th and 12th standard and any specialised qualification and interest in wildlife or zoo education. 

The Zoo Educators will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 250 per day of service availed. The applications are to be filled and submitted at Zoo Office between July 18 and Aug.14 along with 2 stamp size photos, 10th or 12th standard marks card copy, government employees confirmation letter.
