Mysuru: A review meeting under the Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) was organised by Zilla Panchayat at its premises here this morning. It was chaired by ZP President Nayeema Sultana.
The ZP members alleged that the hospitals, especially in taluks, were not kept clean and added that the infrastructure too was inadequate.
Replying to it, District Health Officer Dr. Basavaraj bemoaned that the Department was plagued with severe staff crunch but asserted that the outsourced agencies were looking after the cleaning operations.
Briefing the meeting on education scenario, DDPI Mamata said that the district had stood 11th in last year’s SSLC examination and added that the Department was going all out to improve further. She added that all schools have received adequate supply of books and uniforms.
Referring to the agricultural scenario in the district, Joint Director, Department of Agriculture Dr. Maheshappa expressed happiness in the district receiving good rain with farmers having begun agricultural activities with confidence.
ZP Vice-President Nataraj, Standing Committees Chairmen Venkataswamy, Achutanarayan, S.R. Nandish, ZP CEO Jyothi, Planning Officer Prabhuswamy and others were present.
