10-Day ‘Vastra Utsav – 2023’ at JSS Mysore Urban Haat

Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Mysore Urban Haat is organising a 10-day ‘Vastra Utsav – 2023’ at its premises on Hebbal Ring Road in city from Aug. 11 to 20 on the occasion of Varamahalakshmi Festival. The expo will be open from 10.30 am to 9 pm on all the days. There is no entry and parking fee for the expo.

The expo will be inaugurated by Krishnaraja MLA T.S. Srivatsa on Aug. 11 at 4 pm. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Publication Division Director Prof. Morabada Mallikarjuna and Handicrafts Service Centre (HSC) Assistant Director K.S. Sunil Kumar (Office of the Development Commissioner-Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India) will be the chief guests.

More than 75 Weavers/ Weavers Societies and Artsiasns from across India will be exhibiting and selling their attractive traditional and heritage handloom products in the expo.

The exhibition features sale of Silk Sarees, Molakalmuru Sarees, Ilkal, Kasuti Sarees of Karnataka, Punjabi Phulkari/ Patiala Suits, Bhagalpur Tussar Silk Sarees from Bihar, Banarasi Silk Sarees, Chikan Embroidery, Dupatta from Uttar Pradesh, Chanderi and Maheshwari Sarees from Madhya Pradesh, Grass Mats/ Curtains, Jaipur Kurthas and Raprons, Kanjivaram Silk Sarees, Gadwal Silk, Ikkat , Kalamkari Sarees from Andhra Pradesh, Sambalpuri, Bomkai Sarees of Odisha, Tussar Silk Sarees, Kantha Stitch Sarees from West Bengal and Dress Materials, Boutique Sarees, Kashmir Handlooms, Rajasthan Embroidery, Gujarat Dress, Vegetable Prints Dress Materials and more.
