14 temples in KR Constituency get funds for renovation

Mysore/Mysuru: With the Government releasing Rs. 11.67 lakh for renovation of temples in his Assembly segment, KR MLA S.A. Ramdas, who is also the President of Aradhana Samiti, chaired a meeting on the allocation of the released funds among 14 temples coming under his constituency, at the Taluk Office here on Wednesday last.

The meeting decided to allot Rs. 4,07,000  in total among six temples, including Rs. 50,000 each for Veerabhadreshwara Temple on Banumaiah Road, Karumariamma Temple on Sewage Farm Road and Mahaganapati Temple in Siddarthanagar, Rs. 57,000 for Jayanagar Rama Mandira and Rs. 1 lakh each for Ganapati Temple in Kuvempunagar M-Block and Karaga Temple in Ittigegud.

In respect of other temples, the meeting allotted Rs. 1 lakh each for Rama Mandira on Ashokapuram Sixth Cross, Shambulingeshwara Temple on Ashokapuram First Cross, Katthi Muneshwara Temple on Ashokapuram 13th Cross, Adishakti Pattaladamma Temple in Rajiv Gandhi Colony and Chamundeshwari Temple in Weavers Colony, with all the five temples coming under MCC Ward No. 60 of KR Assembly segment.

In other allocations, Bedarakannappa Temple of Chikkaharadanahalli and got Rs. 1 lakh each and Siddappaji Temple on Sunnadakeri Fourth Cross got Rs. 60,000, collectively amounting to Rs. 7.60 lakh, thus utilising the Government sanctioned amount of Rs.11.67 lakh for renovation of the fourteen temples.
