18th edition of Doctors’ Musical Nite Geeth Gaatha Chal on Feb.3

Mysuru: Geeth Gaatha Chal, the popular musical programme by doctors and their family, will be hosting the 18th edition of the Doctors Musical Nite at Kalamandira on Hunsur Road, Mysuru, on Feb.3 (Sunday) between 5 pm and 9 pm.

This annual event is sponsored since the past 18 years by Dr. Jagannath Shenoy, noted industrialist and philanthropist and Kusuma Shenoy.

Dr. Upendra Shenoy, Chief of Medical Services and well-known Cardiac Surgeon of Columbia Asia Hospital, will be the chief guest. H. Chennappa, Assistant Director, Kannada and Culture, will be the guest of honour.

Dr. P.A. Kushalappa, Director (Academics), JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, is the Organising Chairperson. Syed Aftab Ahmed will be compering the event which promises a treat of popular numbers from yesteryears.

The following singers will be performing at the Doctors’ Musical Evening:

Dr. M.S. Natashekhar, Dr. A.L. Hemalatha, Dr. P.A. Kushalappa, Dr. U. Ganesh Rao, Dr. U.G. Shenoy, Dr. S.K. Ghori, Dr. Sushma Krishna Murthy, Dr. Seethalaxmi Somnath, Dr. Amrutha Upadhya, Dr. Snehashree Nirmal Kumar, Dr. G.D. Ravikumar, Pruthvi Shankar, Ranjitha,  Dr. R.L. Varsha, Dr. Somnath Vasudev, Kavitha Niyath, Sparsha Shenoy, Apoorva Natashekhar and Arathi Rao. Music-lovers are requested to be seated at least 15 minutes before commencement of the programme. Entry is free.
