Rowdy-sheeter Ashok Pai exiled from district

Mandya: Rowdy-Sheeter Ashok alias Pai, who is accused in various destructive activities in the district, has been exiled from the district for six months by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjushree.

The order was passed to control rowdy activities, destructive activities, murder, extortion and other criminal activities in the district and Ashok was exiled as per KP (Karnataka Police) Act 55 A and B from Jan.30 for six months.

Ashok had several complaints against him for his involvement in the murders of Jadeja Ravi and Annaiah, gang wars in Madarahalli and Mandya and had other criminal cases against him. In this backdrop, the Mandya District Police had urged the DC to exile Ashok from the district.

The DC, who is also the District Magistrate, took up the issue yesterday, issued an order to exile Ashok from the district for six months from Jan.30 with a strict warning.
