2 held for wire theft

The Mysuru South Police have arrested two persons on charges of stealing borewell wire.

The arrested have been identified as Lokesh, 35, of Nanjangud and Murugesh, 37, a native of Tamil Nadu.

Acting on a tip off, the Police took Lokesh and Murugesh into custody when they were trying to sell the stolen wire near Bandipalya on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road on Thursday. During interrogation, the duo confessed to have stolen the wire at Chikkakanya in the taluk, following which 26kg of wire was recovered from them.
