20-day drawing camp concludes at JSS

Mysuru: The 20-day drawing camp for students organised by JSS Mahavidyapeetha concluded yesterday at Rajendra Bhavan in JSS Hospital premises here.

About 100 best drawings were exhibited which was inaugurated by Littérateur Prof. Aravind Malagathi.

The camp was organised in three categories for students from 1st to 4th std., 5th to 7th std. and 8th to 10th std. along with an open category with no age restriction. Cash prizes were given away to 10 best drawings.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Arvind Malagathi opined that drawing speaks more words than words itself. He added that creativity among children is exposed through drawings and theoretical learning will follow later.

Mallikarjun, Director, Printing Section, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, S.M. Jambukeshwara, Camp Convenor, Vittal Reddy Chulaki of Kalaniketana School of Arts and others were present.
