20-Step Safety Protocol at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel

Mysore/Mysuru: As unusual circumstances call for unusual measures, city’s Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel has put in place stringent safety steps to keep its guests and staff safe from the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

Re-opened after the lockdown was lifted, the hotel’s 20-Step Safety Protocol ensures safety across all touch points of the hotel. A Pandemic Emergency Response Team, headed by the General Manager, oversees the strict implementation of protocols.

All staff members have been trained on prevention and hygiene and each department has been equipped with its own set of industry standard equipment including thermal scanners, hand sanitisers, masks, face shields, hand gloves, full body suits and chemicals for cleaning.

All employees are made to compulsorily go through symptom checks prior to reporting for duty. Moreover, air circulation process has been increased inside the hotel. All touch points are periodically sanitised, including elevators and common areas. The hotel sanitises each room on guest check out and keeps it sealed for 48 hours prior to next guest entry.

Guest, staff and vendors entering the hotel must go through the routine temperature checks and hand sanitisation and those with body temperature beyond 37.3 degree Celsius are not allowed entry. Guest luggage too gets sanitised and valet parking has given way to self-parking. 

Check-in process has been made contactless and the entire transaction has been digitally enabled. An express check-out process has been made available for guests to minimise contact. Room keys are disinfected and presented safely upon check-in. Guests are provided with complimentary vials of sanitisers, along with other room amenities, during their stay. In fact, from disinfected TV remote controls kept in individually sealed protective bags to bed linen washed at high temperatures for optimal disinfection, the hotel has gone into minute details to ensure total hygiene of the rooms.

Spring All Day Dining, the lobby-level restaurant at the hotel, has additional hygiene and safety measures. Tables are safely spaced apart and printed menu has been done away with. Contactless dining, with QR Code enabled digital menu, bill sent to guest mobile phone and online payment, is the new norm.
