2,500 students, staff receive jabs at St. Thomas School

A mega COVID-19 vaccination camp was organised at St. Thomas School in city on Tuesday. About 2,500 beneficiaries were administered Covishield in a single day as part of this joint initiative by the Department of Health and Family Welfare and St. Thomas School. The serpentine queue of the people was extended for more than 1-km on both right and left side of the School compound. Whereas more than 500 people gathered inside the campus with social distance. The School had arranged emergency medical rooms, doctors, medicines and equipment required were in place to attend to people showing side-effects to the vaccine. The mega COVID-19 vaccination drive was supported by MLA Ramdas who honoured frontline workers of the School at the end of the mega drive. Meanwhile, the School has come up with a suitable theme for the year — “Preparing the School for a Pandemic-free Space.”
