Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised a grand celebration of 250th birthday of Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar tomorrow (Mar. 23) at 6 pm at its Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar.
Musicologist Prof. R. Visweswaran will inaugurate the event which will be followed by a Vocal Duet by Bangalore Brothers — Vidwan M.B. Hariharan and Vidwan S. Ashok.
They will be accompanied by Vid. Mathur Srinidhi on violin, Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Raghunandan Vyasarao on ghata.

Profile: The Bangalore Brothers are a popular Karnatak vocal duo consisting of M.B. Hariharan and S. Ashok, close friends rather than siblings.
Known for their synchronised performances, they are disciples of Mridanga Maestro H.S. Sudhindra and are ‘A’ Grade artistes of All India Radio. They perform at major music festivals and are noted for including traditional kritis and engaging technical passages.
Both hold PG degrees in Music and bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering. They are active on social media platforms, showcasing their classical music performances.
The title “Bangalore Brothers” was suggested by their Guru H.S. Sudhindra in 1998, when he asked them to perform a Varnam together.
