2nd Junior State League Netball Championship: Mysuru emerges Champions

The 2nd Junior State League Netball Championship for Boys 2018-19 was organised by Mysore District Netball Association in association with Amateur Netball Association of Karnataka at Karnataka Public School, Gavadagere, Hunsur taluk here, recently.

A total of 12 teams participated in the Championship which was held in League-cum-Knock-out-Super League format.

Pool A: Mysuru beat Chitradurga 24-18; Chitradurga beat Hassan 17-16; Hassan beat Mysuru 17-12.

Pool B: Udupi beat Anupama Avangers Sports Club 21-16; Ajay Sports Club, Mangaluru beat Udupi 14-09; Ajay Sports Club, Mangaluru beat Anupama Avangers Sports Club 20-12.

Pool C: Davangare beat Belagavi 18-14; Belagavi beat Tumakuru 16-12; Davangere beat Tumakuru 14-10.

Pool D: Bengaluru Rural beat MES Sports Club 18-15; Bengaluru Rural beat Eagles Sports Club 20-14; MES Sports Club beat Eagals Sports Club 19-15.

Quarter-Finals

Bengaluru Rural beat Ajay Sports Club, Mangaluru 20-16; Hassan beat Belagavi 18-12; Mysuru beat Davangere 17-14; Udupi beat MES Sports Club 21-18.

Super League

Mysuru beat Hassan 18-17; Bengaluru Rural beat Udupi 20-14; Mysuru beat Udupi 20-19; Hassan beat Bengaluru Rural 13-11; Bengaluru Rural beat Mysuru 17-14; Hassan beat Udupi 21-10.

Final Result

Mysuru, Bengaluru Rural and Hassan districts won two matches each.

Scores: Mysuru (52 points) – 1st Place; Hassan (51 points) – 2nd Place; Bengaluru Rural (48 points) – 3rd Place; Udupi (lost all 3 matches) – 4th Place.
