Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, had organised the 2nd National Conference on ‘Communication and Data Science (NCCDS – 2020)’ in digital mode on July 15 under Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with ISTE, IETE and publication partner IJERT (International Journal of Engineering Research & Technology).
NCCDS – 2020 was inaugurated by Mathangi Sri, Head of Data-GoFood, Gojek, Bengaluru, distinguished chief guest and keynote speaker.
Mathangi Sri, in her inaugural address, appreciated the need for conferences and appraised all research scholars to share their knowledge and improve their skill in publishing research papers.
She advised young research scholars and students to make use of this opportunity for improving their research knowledge.
In her keynote address on the topic ‘Data Driven Decisions,’ she emphasised many important facts on current trends in Data Science, machine learning, consumer boom and computing boom technologies.
She explained many interesting facts on latest development of machine learning models used in industries, banks and financial institutions.
The conference was presided by Vanaja B. Pandit, Hon. Secretary, GSSS. R.K. Bharath, CEO & Management Committee Member, GSSS, Anupama B. Pandit, Administrative Officer, GSSSIETW, Dr. M. Shivakumar, General Chair, Principal, GSSSIETW, were present.
Conference Convener Dr. Rajendra R. Patil, Professor & Head, Dept. of ECE, welcomed the chief guest, panel members and participants. He also briefed them about NCCDS 2020.
NCCDS 2020 received 74 papers from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States.
All papers were segregated for presentation in 13 different sessions based on the domain. Domain experts from various Engineering Colleges were identified to chair the sessions. From each session, Best Paper and Presentation Certificates were provided to the participants. Dr. S. Padmashree, Conference Convenor, Professor, Department of ECE, proposed a vote of thanks.
The inaugural programme was hosted by C. Shyamala, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE. Staff, students of ECE Department and Heads of all the Departments of GSSSIETW were present.
