3 Karnataka Naval Unit holds Annual Training Camp

Mysore/Mysuru: 3 Karnataka Naval Unit, Mysuru, conducted the Annual Training Camp for Naval NCC Cadets of Mysuru at Swami Vivekananda Educational Institute (SVEI) in Vijayanagar 4th Stage, Mysuru, from Apr. 18 to 27.

A total of 325 Cadets participated in the camp from 12 Schools and Colleges.  Cadets were trained in various aspects of Naval NCC — Drill, Naval Service Subjects, Ship Modelling, Weapon Training, Firing, Boat Pulling, Naval Communication, Leadership Skills and a range of sports activities.

A cultural programme was conducted at the culmination of the camp with prize distribution. The following Cadets were adjudged the Best Cadets in the Junior and Senior categories:

Best Cadet – Senior Division: Senior Cadet Captain M. Jeevith – D. Banumaiah’s College.

Best Cadet – Senior Wing: Leading Cadet K.P. Bindushree, Yuvaraja’s College of Mysuru.

Best Cadet – Junior Division: Cadet Preetham, Mahajana High School.

Best Cadet – Junior Wing: Cadet Dikshitha, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hondarabalu.

The following Cadets were promoted with ranks on the occasion of change of guard from the previous appointments to the new appointments:

Senior Cadet Captain: Senior Cadet Captain M. Jeevith – D. Banumaiah’s College; Cadet Captain: Cadet Captain M. Gagana (Sarada Vilas College), Cadet Captain Sanjana Murthy (Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering), Cadet Captain A.H. Sai Krishna Rao (D. Banumaiah’s College), Cadet Captain Vivin Francis (St. Philomena’s College) and Cadet Captain L.K. Darshan (Yuvaraja’s College)

Best Institute: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hondarabalu.
