31st National U-9 Girls Chess Tournament: Shefali scores over Kasthuri

A.N. Shefali of Mandya representing Karnataka in the National U-9 Girls Chess Championship 2017 at Gurugram yesterday won her ninth round tie against R. Kasthuri Bhai (Andaman & Nicobar) and after nine rounds has secured 7 points and is placed sixth in the rankings.

Kalale’s K.G.R. Anagha has secured 6.5 points from 9 rounds and is placed tenth in the rankings. Sharadhi Shastry of Mysuru has secured 5.5 points while Yashika Joshi from Mysuru has secured 4 points from nine rounds.

After nine rounds, Rajanya Datta of West Bengal is in the lead with 8 points. Anupam M. Sreekumar of Kerala with 7.5 points is in the second place while Chavan Dhakshayani Tushar of Maharashtra has secured 7.5 points from nine rounds and is placed third in the rankings.
