38th National Masters Athletic Championship: City’s Amarnatha excels

Amarnatha, Head Constable, Lakshmipuram Police Station, currently deputed to City Bomb Squad, representing Karnataka in the 38th National Masters Athletics Championship 2017, has excelled by winning one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in the men’s 45 plus category in the meet held at Gachibowli Balayogi Stadium at Hyderabad recently.

Amarnatha won the men’s 45 plus 110m hurdles gold with a timing of 20.1sec.

He secured the silver medal as he was part of the 4x100m relay team which finished second with a timing of 50.4sec.

Amarnatha won the bronze medal in the 45 plus 100m event with a timing of 12.68 sec.

He also secured a bronze medal in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.51mtrs.
