5 percent rebate: Property tax deadline extended in local bodies to July 31

In a bid to encourage defaulting public to pay their pending property tax, the Government has extended the 5 percent rebate on Property Tax in Urban Local Bodies (City Municipal Councils, Town Municipal Councils and Town Panchayats) across the State to July 31. The members of the public are asked to make use of this tax rebate opportunity, according to a press release issued by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Member-Secretary B.G. Dinesh. The earlier deadline was Apr. 30, according to  press release.
