5,000 illegally allotted MUDA sites must be withdrawn: R. Raghu

August 11, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: State BJP OBC Morcha President R. Raghu Kautilya has demanded that, the illegally allotted 5,000 sites of Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) be withdrawn and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is fostering the illegalities, step down from his office.

Addressing the gathering, after the release of a book titled  5,000 Niveshanagalannu Nungi Haakida Aa 14 Niveshanagalu (how 14 sites swallowed 5,000 sites) during the valedictory of BJP-JD(S) Mysuru Chalo Convention at Maharaja’s College Grounds in city yesterday, Raghu said, corrupt Government is in power in the State, which is ignoring the interest of the people.

The resources of the State is being plundered through scams, as the Government lacks any responsibility. It is practicing double standards, pushing people towards distress.

Those without a roof of their own haven’t been allotted a single site by the Government in the State. So, the Congress party should be removed from power and 5,000 sites allotted by MUDA flouting all the norms should be taken back.

CM Siddaramaiah who has been guarding such illegalities should also resign. It was with the same motto that Mysuru Chalo Padayatra, was taken out from Bengaluru to Mysuru, said Raghu.

Referring to the slogan Satyameva Jayate (Truth Alone Triumphs) that was seen on the main dais of Congress’s Janandolana Convention, held in city on Aug. 9, Raghu mocked it as ‘Sullumeva Jayate’ (Lie Alone Triumphs). But the convention organised by BJP-JD(S) under the banner of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) echoed noble thoughts like Dharmameva Jayate, Nyayameva Jayate and Janameva Jayate, voicing for the cause of the poor. Our convention was not organised for the sake of politics and power, but for the welfare of people of the State, oppressed classes, farmers, poor, weaker sections, women, students and the shelterless people, remarked Raghu.

The struggle was launched to save Kannada Nadu and its natural resources and to ensure equal rights to people of the State while CM Siddaramaiah has been guarding his fort of corruption in the name of AHINDA.

Moreover, he lacks any morality to invoke the legacy of champion of backward classes, former CM late D. Devaraj Urs. If Urs coined the concept of social justice, Siddaramaiah is involved in exploitation of the society. In this wake, NDA fight against bringing down Congress Government will continue and the days are not far for Siddaramaiah to step down from his office, said Raghu.
