6-day Music Concerts to mark 25th anniversary of Shruthimanjari

Mysuru: As part of its 25th anniversary, Shruthimanjari Foundation, Mysuru, has organised a 6-day music programme at Rotary West Hall in Saraswathipuram from Jan. 24 to 29. The schedule is as follows:

Jan. 24 (6 pm): Inauguration of the 25th anniversary celebrations by Vid. H.K. Narasimharnurthy. Rtn. Ullas Pandit, President, Rotary Mysore West, will preside. It will be followed by Karnatak Classical Music Concert by Ganakala Bhushana Vidu. Dr. R.N. Sreelatha, accompanied by Vidu. Dr. Veena Suresh on violin, Vid. G.S. Ramanujam on mridanga and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on morching.

Jan. 25 (6 pm): Bansuri (Flutr) Concert by Pt. Praveen Godkhindi and team.

Jan. 26 (6 pm): Karnatak Classical Violin Duet by Vid. Vittal Ramamurthy and Vid. Shreehari Vittal, accompanied by Vid. H.L. Shivashankaraswamy on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Kaushik on ghata.

Jan. 27 (6 pm): Presentation of kritis created by Dr. R.N. Sreelatha by students. Presentation of workshop conducted by Padma Shri awardee Vid. R.N. Thyagarajan.

Jan. 28 (6 pm): Karnatak Classical Music Concert by Vid. R.N. Thyagarajan, accompanied by Vid. Mathur Srinidhi on violin, Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Raghunandan Rao on ghata.

Jan. 29 (10 am): Purandara Tyagaraja Aaradhane by renowned musicians; 6 pm: Karnatak Classical Instrumental Ensemble ‘Laya Lavanya’ headed by Vid. Anoor Anantha    Krishna Sharma.
