66,000 apply for 402 Police Sub-Inspector posts

As many as 66,000 candidates have applied for 402 PSI (Police Sub-Inspector) posts in the State, the written exam for which is scheduled to take place on Sept. 22. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), which is conducting the exam, said that the admission tickets will be released one week before the exam date.

The KEA is also scheduled to hold the compulsory Kannada exam for Village Administrative Officer (VAO) posts on Sept. 29 and those who qualify in this exam will become eligible for appearing in the main exam to take place on Oct. 27. A whopping 5.7 lakh candidates have applied for 1,000 VAO posts and preparations are in full swing for the conduct of this exam too, sources in the KEA said.
