Couple reunite on request of their son

Mysuru: In all, 6,733 cases were solved out of 12,947 cases recommended to National Lok Adalat during the Lok Adalat held in city yesterday.

In all, 1,34,313 cases have been pending before various Courts in Mysuru district out of which 67,831 are civil and 66,482 are criminal cases.

Out of the pending cases, a total of 12,947 cases were recommended to Lok Adalat and during the hearing held  yesterday 6,733 were solved.

Addressing the media persons, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Member-Secretary Nagaraj Siddappa Ankasadoddi said, “A total of 47,141 cases pending before various Courts in Mysuru were identified to be resolved through compromise following which 6,733 cases were solved and a total of Rs. 59,25,07,735 has been remitted to the respective accounts of the plaintiffs.” 

34 couples reunite

The Lok Adalat also solved 144 family cases out of the 231 cases pending before the Family Courts.  Yesterday’s Lok Adalat also witnessed 34 couples reuniting out of which 30 were belong to urban area and 4 from rural.

Meanwhile, in one of the cases, a 60-year-old couple, who had filed for separation over a trivial matter, reunited on the request of their son.

Family Court I Additional Principal Judge Ishrath Jahan Ara, II Additional Principal Judge P.K. Divya, III Additional Principal Judge Sharanabasappa Basappa Kembhavi and others were present.
