69 from city Academy selected as Agniveers to be feted

Mysore/Mysuru: Of the total 266 candidates recruited for Agniveer 2023-24 (a short-term recruitment in the Defence Forces), 69 candidates are from Sainik Academy Mysuru (SAM), Hunsur main road, Belavadi, in the outskirts of the city.

According to a press release from retired Black Cat Commando and Founder of SAM C.M. Shridhara, All those selected 69 candidates will be felicitated during a programme organised at the park of Palm Gardenia Layout, near SAM Academy, Belavadi on Oct. 6 at 4 pm. 

Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha and Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra will felicitate the Agniveers.

The above Academy is training the aspirants of military, para-military and Police forces for the past three years. Till date, a total of 231 candidates including the recently selected 69 candidates, who underwent training here, are recruited in various wings of the armed forces.
