69th Junior Natl. Basketball Championships: Gujarat women score upset win over MP

Gujarat’s women scored an upset 73-71 win over Madhya Pradesh in their Group ‘A’ league tie on the fourth day of the 69th Junior National Basketball championships being played at the Ludhiana Basketball Academy, Guru Nanak Stadium, here on Thursday.

Results (Men-Group A): UP (Akshay 31, Prasun 25, Priyanshu 22) bt Chandigarh (Rahul 32, Ajmer 26) 115-92; (Group B): Delhi (Nitish 27) bt Maharashtra (Suraj 26) 82-79; (Group C): Goa (Joshua 22) bt Puducherry (Sathyavanan 22) 76-50; (Group D): Odisha (Sarat 25, Suresh 14) bt Bihar (Yashraj 27, Dharmender 22)76-50.

Women Group A: Gujarat (Tarleen 22, Ria 15) bt MP (Asmat 20) 73-71; (Group B): Maharashtra (Neha 24, Sakshi 14) bt Rajasthan (Yashika 16, Ishika 9) 101-45.
