The 70th birthday celebrations of Vatal Surya Simhasana Mutt’s Seer Dr. Siddalinga  Shivacharya Swamiji will be held on Dec.24 at 9 am at the Mutt premises in T. Narasipur taluk. A large procession of folk troupes carrying the Seer on a flower-decorated sarot followed with mangala vadya, nandi kamba, kombu kahale, bhajan mela and other folk artistes will be taken out on the main streets of  Vatal village on the same day. A felicitation programme is organised after the procession. Prasadam will be distributed to the devotees from morning till evening, according to a press release from Chunchanahalli and Navilur Mutt Seer Sri Channabasava Swamiji.
