Mysore/Mysuru: Jumboo Savari transformed into a breathtaking cultural kaleidoscope by over 84 cultural troupes from across the State who ignited the spirit of festivity and tradition.
They brought an array of artistic expressions, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka. Among the diverse troupes participating in the procession were Nandi Dhwaja, Veeragaase, Puravantike, Kombu Kahale, Kamsale, Keelukudure, Kolata, Chith Mela, Flower Dance, Hejje Mela, Tamate Nagari, Yakshagana Dolls, Stilt Walkers and many more.
The performed arts included Veerabhadra Kunita, Kombu Kahale, Dollu Kunitha, Poti Vesha, Kamsale, Somana Kunitha, Peacock dance, Garudi Gombe, Halage Mela, Goravara Kunitha, Gorukana Nruthya, Karadi Majalu, Ranga Kunitha, Khasabedara Pade, Tamate-Nagari, Kangeelu Kunitha, Saxophone, Hagalvesha, Jaggalage Mela, Gondara Dhakke, Lambani Dance, Malenadu Suggi Kunitha, Tribal dance, Puja Kunitha, Gamate Nruthya, Mahila Chende, Karaga Kolata, Kani Vaadana, Nandi Kolu, Damami Nruthya, Karbal Kunitha, Chilipili Gombe, Veera Makkala Kunitha, Kathakali Gombe and more.
The parade was a vibrant showcase of Karnataka’s folk traditions, with each troupe offering a unique and captivating performance. The cultural troupes were led by Mahadevappa Udigala, who headed the Gowrishankara Nandidhwaja Sangha of Gowrishankarnagar in city.
Some exceptional highlights of the procession included a pyramid formation display by the Ayyappaswamy Zaanz Pathak team from Sutatti in Athani Taluk of Belagavi district, Dollu Kunitha presented by the Beeralingeshwara troupe from Bagalkot district, Adivasi dance featuring the Hakki Pikki tribe women performers from Kampli in Ballari district, Shalivahana Gombe and Keelu Kudure performances by a cultural troupe from Manchandahalli in Kolar district, Rangakunitha by Hanechennapura team from Nagamangala taluk in Mandya, Donnevarase by Yelethota Kyathamma Youth team of Kottatti in Mandya, Koli Nrutya by A.S. Chandrakumar troupe from Ramanagara and many more.
The procession also featured mesmerising acts such as the Lungi Dance, Jogi Nrutya, Veerabhadra Dance and numerous other scintillating performances that added to the festive fervour.
Additionally, the procession paid tribute to the late actor Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar with artistes carrying Kannada flags and a flag bearing his image, further cementing the cultural and emotional significance of Dasara.
