Marithibbegowda, three others file nomination papers

Mysuru: Marithibbegowda of the Janata Dal (Secular) and three others filed their nomination papers for the Legislative Council elections from Karnataka South Teachers’ Constituency, Karnataka South-West Teachers’ Constituency and Karnataka South-West Graduates’ Constituency, at the Regional Commissioner’s office yesterday.

Marithibbegowda filed three sets of nomination papers for the Karnataka South Teachers’ Constituency. B. Niranjanamurthy of the BJP filed the papers for the same Constituency.

S.P. Dinesh of the Congress filed his nomination for Karnataka South West Graduates’ Constituency and M. Ramesha, an Independent filed his nomination papers for Karnataka South-West Teachers’ Constituency. The ECI will scrutinise the nomination papers on May 23.
