Curbing traffic violations

May 27, 2018

Sir,

Traffic violations are happening everywhere in Mysuru city. Signal jumping is very common practice in all circles. In addition to this, driving on one-way lane is also a major problem.

Police only catch hold of helmet violators. They are not bothered to catch other violators even if violation happens in front of them. Police team catching helmetless riders also leads to another problem. Offenders suddenly take U-turn on the same road and ride very fast leading to accidents. As a result, common man suffers for no fault of his.

So Police must resort to only video camera-based traffic control and book offenders based on video recordings. Also paying fine on the spot should be avoided completely because I saw many bargains happening on road side.

I request our city Police Commissioner to spend one day going around the entire city in civil dress so that he will understand the real problem and take steps to curb such traffic violations.

Good suggestion for Police Commissioner, hope he takes it in the right sense and as a public servant would deliver.
We had a similar one called Sangliana, so called super cop, finally, ended up as a elected people representative !! using the same fame as super cop….what a joke !
