No action taken by Police despite lodging complaint
Mysuru: A woman, accusing her mother of harassing her physically and mentally, has alleged that the Police have failed to take action despite lodging a complaint in this regard.
Addressing a press conference at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, the woman, identified as Padmamani of Arasinakere village in the taluk, alleged that a village leader was pestering her to keep illicit relationship with him.
Padmamani further said that as she refused the village leader’s moves, he threatened her mother and brought some villagers with him and assaulted her (Padmamani) in a bid to kill.
After the incident, mother had joined hands with a few villagers and was harassing her, alleged Padmamani.
She further said that she had left her husband Lakshmikanthraje Urs as his character was not good and was staying in her father’s house since 10 years and was earning a living as a tailor.
Alleging that Jayapura Police have not taken any action despite lodging complaint, Padmamani threatened of committing suicide if action is not taken against the culprits soon.
