Mysuru: The 99th Founder’s Day of Sri Krishnarajendra Co-operative Bank Ltd., N. Madava Rao Circle (Agrahara Circle), probably the oldest Co-operative Bank in city, was celebrated in the Bank premises this morning.
Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra inaugurated the event by garlanding the bust of the Bank Founder Shettappa Siddappa in the Bank premises.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that it was a great achievement that the oldest Bank is at the doorstep of centenary celebrations. Pointing out that the Bank, which was started in 1919 with a mere 265 members, has grown by leaps and bounds over the years, he said that the Bank now has 9,313 members, which explains the success story of the Bank.
Complementing the Bank for its services to the customers, he suggested the Bank to come up with innovative programmes that befits its centenary celebrations next year.
Bank President H. Vasu, Vice-President H.V. Bhaskar, Directors M.N. Naveen Kumar, G.M. Panchakshari, Prathidwani Prasad, Thayuru Vittalamurthy, Parvathamma, Indira Venkatesh, N. Siddappa and others were present.
