Sir,
Driving down on the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway was a joy ride 10 years back with the 4-lane road being just inaugurated. But now it is a punishment, especially in Channapatna, which takes one hour on Sunday evenings to cross followed by Mandya which takes a minimum of 15 minutes to cross. The travel has become very painful taking 4-5 hours.
In Channapatna, problem is with the signal near the Silk Factory and another signal at the end of the town. Pileup starts from Byrapattana with only inches moving. Volume of the cars too have become too much. Even with the three-lane, the situation would not improve unless they make flyovers in these towns.
Weekends on Saturday mornings from Bengaluru and Sunday evenings from Mysuru more trains should be introduced between two cities. Tipu Express which ends its journey at Mysuru can be made to run a special trip at around 6.30 pm. Also the Bannur-Malavalli-Kanakapura Road needs improvement.
Can Mysuru’s elected representatives take up this?

Yes, truly it is a tough time on roads between Mysore to Bangalore on weekends. also, recently newly laid speedbreakers between Ramnagar and Bidadi is creating bad experience. These are not laid as per norms.
Time to think over about steel bridge,
