Mysuru:  The newly setup Gymnasium facility at the sprawling Javaregowda Park in Saraswathipuram has been thrown open for public use.

Former Mayor and area Corporator R. Lingappa inaugurated the new facility on June 22.

Lingappa said that the facility has been set up under SFC (State Finance Commission) scheme of the MCC. Pointing out that more than 10 gym equipments have been installed in the park at a cost of about Rs. 5 lakh, he called upon the public to make best use of the gym facility.  He also asked the public to ensure that the equipment are handled properly. The equipment installed at the park include cross trainer, shoulder press, pull ups bar and leg press. Businessman Vivek, Prajwal Lingappa, Ravi Prabhakar and others were present.
