‘Indradhanush’  Vaccination prog.

The first round of ‘Intensified Mission Indradhanush’ vaccination drive, will take place in all the 65 Wards of city from July 16 to 20. The drive, taken up by the District Health and Family Welfare Department, is aimed at reaching children under two years of age, children who are aged 5-6 years and pregnant women who have been left uncovered under the routine immunisation programme. The drive will target 3,842 children under two years of age, 1,774 children of 5-6 years age and 1,122 pregnant women in the city. In the district, the Special Intensified Mission Indradhanush programme will be held in 39 select villages from July 18 to 21. The drive will target 257 children under two years of age, 80 children of 5-6 years of age and 65 pregnant women. A total of 42 vaccination centres have been set up across the district.
