The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), National Institute of Engineering (NIE), had organised a State-level Student Technical Symposium ‘INPHASE-17’ in city yesterday. This event was sponsored by Technical Education Quality Improvement programme (TEQIP II), a Government of India initiative.
‘INPHASE-17’ was aimed at providing a common platform to the students of EEE to share their ideas in fields like electrical power systems engineering, power electronic converters and drives, SCADA , FACTS , HVDC, power quality and control, renewable energy sources, micro-controllers and their applications, DSP, VLSI and embedded systems and ignite the young engineering minds.
More than 30 papers were received in electrical and electronics engineering. Technical quiz and analog circuit design competitions were also conducted as part of INPHASE-17.
A.Subbanna, Chief Manager, POSOCO, SRLDC, Bengaluru, inaugurated the paper presentation event. T. K. Chittranjan, Director, NIE, presided. Dr. N.Kumar, Professor & Head, EEE and H. Pradeepa, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the event were present on the occasion.
