Mysuru: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development, Siddarthanagar, has organised SDM-IMD Foundation Day Lecture on Sept. 20.
B. Muthuraman, former Vice-Chairman, Tata Steel, will be delivering the Lecture at 11 am tomorrow in SDM-IMD Auditorium.
Profile: Having graduated in Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, Muthuraman followed it up with MBA from XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur. An alumnus of the General Management Program (GMP) at CEDEP, the European Centre for Executive Development, France, he has attended the leadership programme at INSEAD, France. He has been bestowed with an Honorary Doctorate from the Loyola University, Chicago.
Born on Sept.26, 1944, Muthuraman began his career at Tata Steel in 1966 and has held various positions at the company including Vice-President of Marketing and Sales and Vice- President of Cold Rolling Mill Projects.
A recipient of Padma Bhushan in 2012, Muthuraman is a Member of the Governing Council of SDM-IMD, Mysuru.
