Information Dept. tableau to tour 15 districts

The tableau made by the Department of Information and Public Relations to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, arrived in city yesterday.

Department of Information and Public Relations Director N.R. Vishu Kumar, along with Tahsildar Ramesh Babu, journalist Amshi Prasannakumar, Department of Information and Public Relations Joint Director Basavaraju B. Kambi and Assistant Director R. Raju received the tableau in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North Gate, by offering floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi installed in the front of the tableau.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishu Kumar said that two tableaux were prepared titled ‘Satya Marga’ and ‘Shanti Marga’ and they will tour 15 districts, each spreading the messages on the life and philosophy of Gandhiji. Picture right shows people taking pictures with the tableau.
