Mysuru:  Strongly objecting to the recent Supreme Court verdict  regarding women’s entry to the famous Sabarimala Temple in Kerala, nearly 100 devotees under the banner of Ayyappa Bhakta Mandali, Mysuru, held a prayer walk ‘Save Sabarimala’ in the city this morning to register their protest.

The prayer walk in which more than 10 women too took part, commenced  from Kote Anjaneya Temple at the Palace North Gate and passed through Gandhi Square, K.T. Street and Irwin Road before culminating at Sathyanarayana Temple on Sayyaji Rao Road.

Claiming that the Supreme Court ruling that no women can be stopped from entering Sabarimala Temple in Kerala, thus ending a traditional ban on the entry of women between 10 to 50 years of age to the hilltop shrine, was totally against Sabarimala tradition followed since decades, the protestors demanded a review of the SC order.
