Gang of six including two women assault housewife with lethal weapons

Mysuru: A gang of six persons including two women have allegedly assaulted a housewife in a bid to kill her at her residence on Shivaji Road in N.R. Mohalla here.

The housewife, who was allegedly assaulted, is Ayesha Siddique, second wife of Mir Salauddin, a scrap dealer, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in city.

Those who allegedly attempted to kill Ayesha Siddique is Mujeeb Ur Rehman and his wife Nishad Abza Kausar of Kushalnagar, Umar Khan, Siddique Khan, Adil and his wife Asma Banu of Rajiv Nagar in city.

N.R. Police have registered a case under IPC Sections 307, 341, 323, 354, 326, 427, 442, 504, 506, 143 and 149 against the accused.

Details: Kushalnagar’s Mujeeb Ur Rehman and his wife Nishad Abza Kausar used to come to Ayesha’s house frequently. But on Oct.18 at about 10.30 pm, the two along with four others barged into the house of Ayesha, accused Ayesha of falsely spreading rumours that Kausar was having illicit relationship and allegedly assaulted her (Ayesha) brutally with lethal weapons.

As the murderous assault was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the house, the accused have taken the CCTV footage storage disk from the computer, the complaint said.

The accused then called Ayesha’s husband over the phone at about 1 am and asked him to come to Ayesha’s house, besides telling him that they have brutally assaulted Ayesha.

The gang had allegedly assaulted one Hidayat about a month ago and the accused who had captured the assault of Hidayat on their mobile phone showed the video of the assault to Ayesha’s husband Mir Salauddin besides threatening to kill him if he disclosed the matter to the Police or anyone else, according to the complaint. The complaint also states  that the accused had allegedly recorded the video of the assault on their mobile phone. N.R. Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
