Mysore Fashion Week, the most glamorous fashion event in the South Mysuru, is back with its Season-5 from Nov.2 to 4 at The Windflower Resorts and Spa on Maharanapratap Road in Nazarbad, Mysuru.

The event, orchestrated by city’s ace designer Jayanthi Ballal, has garnered immense support over the years from the fashion industry and it has contributed massively in putting Mysuru on the global fashion map. The annual event has witnessed participation from the country’s top designers and models year after year.

The three-day extravaganza, which starts every day at 5.30 pm, will feature the following designers this year:

Swapnil Shinde, Ken Ferns, Shravan Kumar, Sourabh Kant Shrivastava, Jayanthi Ballal, Arpitha Randeep, Jaya Misra, Jayesh Maini, Prince Phinehas, Ashfaque Ahmed, Rinku Sobti, Kirti Rathore, Dazzles, Hamstech Institute and DreamZone.

While Radhika Chetan and Niveditha Gowda will be the show-stoppers for Jayanthi Ballal, Swara Bhaskar will walk the ramp for Arpitha Randeep, Nushrat Bharucha for Swapnil Shinde, Parul Yadav for Rinku Sobti, Ihana Dhillon and Rituparna Sengupta for Jaya Misra, Kishen Bilagali (Celebrity Choreographer and Winner of Dance Deewane) for Ken Ferns and Ragini Dwivedi will be the show-stopper for Shravan Kumar.

Nepal’s first Transgender Model to make special appearance

The Season-4 of Mysore Fashion Week last year saw Reshma Qureshi, an acid attack survivor and the face of ‘Make Love Not Scars’ campaign, walk for designer Jaheena. This year, Anjali Lama from Nepal, who became the first transgender model to walk the ramp at an international Fashion Week, will make special appearance at Season-5 Mysore Fashion Week.

Anjali Lama, a 32-year-old Nepali transgender model, has walked multiple ramps at the Lakmé Fashion Week-2017. She got into fashion after doing a cover shoot assignment in Nepal for a magazine called ‘The Voice of Woman.’ She has walked for designers Soumodeep Dutta, Nakita Singh, Jai Ramrakhiani and Amit Aggarwal, among others. For the first time ever at Lakmé, a transgender model walked alongside others, in a regular model pool, and not as a separate show-stopper.
